The most recent competition in the Brewer of the Year 2016 circuit was the National Capital Homebrew Competition held in, you guessed it, Ottawa. In speaking with Phillip Whelan, he had the following to say about their competition:
“We would like to thank all the homebrewers that entered the 2016 edition of the National Capital Homebrew Competition. This year was our biggest year yet with 322 entries received from all across the country! Michal Foniok of the Cowtown Yeast Wranglers took home the best of show prize and for his efforts he will be receiving 14 gallon stainless steel fermentor from http://www.beergrains.com and an amazing pro-am opportunity to collaborate on a recipe and brew a 30bbl batch of beer with White Water Brewing Company a fantastic brewery just outside Ottawa. ”
Good luck to our brewers in the remaining competitions this season!
