The WertContest was the second competition in the 2016 Brewer of the Year circuit. By all accounts, it was a resounding success! Mark Whitehead of the Werthogs had the following to say:
The Lethbridge Werthogs were pleased to host the 17th annual WertContest on March 3rd, 4th and 5th 2016. The competition had good representation from across the country, with entries coming from coast to coast. Our club’s judges were joined by guest judges from Calgary and the Olds College Brewmaster’s program and found some very world class beers at the top of their categories. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded in 17 categories and also for Best of Show, with prizes for the winners donated by our many sponsors. The Werthogs would like to say thanks to all who supported our competition with their entries or their participation, and we look forward to 2017!
